Case 2001 Dealer Smatchet 689/999

This is the 2001 Case Dealer knife and is stamped with the long tail “C” and is serial# 689. The handles are made from cocobolo wood and the blade has detailed gold etching . The overall length of this knife is 15-1/2 inches long with the blade being 11 inches in length. The smatchet was designed during world war 2 by a British army officer as a close combat, heavy fighting knife that would bring fear to the enemy. It was used by both the British and American special forces
