This heavy-duty chopper gets its shape from its older sibling. At about 80% the size of the larger version, the Combat Kukri performs just as well at clearing brush and small tree limbs, yet is a capable tactical knife. Its smaller profile makes it a little easier for toting around – at just shy of a pound, it’s a more appropriately sized tool for combat carry as well.

It’s tough to argue with the success of the world’s most recognizable, time-tested, fixed-blade knife so KA-BAR did what any smart company would do, they didn’t change the original design, they expanded upon it. The high-carbon, non-reflective black blade is epoxy powder-coated tests prove the finish is more durable than ever. The classic oval shape of the original KA-BAR remains and has been modernized with a material nearly impervious to sweat, chemicals, water and wear, Kraton G. The improved weight near the tip and kukri design shape lends the design to a much wider array of uses than the ORIGINAL.
